I've purchased several of these vests for myself & as gifts for my father & brother. I consider these heirloom vests because they are such high quality heavy wool, they'll be passed down for generations to come. These vests are so versatile they can be worn everyday or with your Sunday best & never short on compliments. Received this as a gift from my daughter. Havn'nt hardly had it off since! Great fit, very comfortable to wear All day. Merino wool is super soft and warm. I highly recommend this vest. (Posted on 2/18/12)

Saw this vest At the 2010 rodeo finals in Vegas, but forgot the size so I couldn't order it on line. So this year at the rodeo the Schaefer booth was my first stop, and I'm glad I did. Cowboy Basics Review by Old School Cowboy

This vest is a definite throwback to the "early days". True western styling. I have all colors, even the discontinued camel color. I wear these vests more than any other during the fall, winter and early spring. They are perfect for layering and wearing outside on those warmer fall and winter days. I like the elastic cinch in the back. No useless brass belts and straps in the back for me. I wish they would make this vest in a wine or burgundy color with a black lining (hint!)
